MEMBERSHIP

Membership eligibility is based upon deeded access to the beach lot located on Lakeview Drive.  A Special Assessment District (SAD) is established which includes all member properties.

Thank you for paying your Indian Lake Improvement Association dues.  This membership ensures items such as insurance for all current members, as well as improvements to the lake lot, beach and dock areas, lawn mowing and port-a-potty rental.

Members current on their dues are covered against any liability under the association policy, however members not current are not covered and could be subject to individual liability, therefore it is extremely important to maintain current membership in the event something unfortunate were to happen.

Spring:  Addison Twp. Office community room, last Sunday in April

Summer:  Lake Lot pot luck meeting, last Sunday of August

Our association is volunteer so it takes everyone to ensure all of our member residents enjoy the lake equally.  Thank you for taking all of your trash with you when you leave (the fire pit is just for spring and fall cleanup of branches).  Please be considerate of the homes surrounding the lake lot with regards to noise and not trespassing (winter or summer) onto their property to gain access to the lake.  A complete set of rules is posted at the boat launch gate and here.

As many of you are aware, our membership level is around 50%, yet use of the beach lot is much higher.  In an effort to encourage all residents to pay their dues, we are asking that all active members get the word out and encourage those not active to do so.   Also, many members did not pay their dues for last year.  Please check your records, and we would appreciate it if you send in last year's dues along with this year's.

Current Members - $50

New Members - $75 (includes one time initiation fee of $25)

The dues are the only income for the Association. This money is spent on the following items:

- Maintenance of Beach Lot and Boat Launch

- Beach Lot Taxes

- Rental of a Porta-potty

- Beach Lot Road Fund

- Liability insurance for all up to date members

- Postage

These items are just a few of the many costs incurred by the Lake Association.
